Take 5: Productive Tasks Done In Just 5 Minutes

We all want to be productive but, let’s face it, it is way too easy to loose time to procrastination. Because of this, it is every so important to grab any spare time we have and put it to good use. So, think about those times when you aren’t doing anything in particular, but could be. Such as waiting for an appointment in your doctor’s waiting room or when you are waiting for a cake to bake. There is often something productive you can do in this short snippet of time! Here are some great ideas.

Drink A Glass Of Water

It is important to stay hydrated through the day, but this is often something that we forget about. Especially when the water isn’t that warm. So, next time you have a spare five minutes, head to the kitchen and drink a cool glass of water. It will certainly invigorate body and mind!

Send A Thank You Note

Has someone helped you out at work or with a professional task recently? If so, it’s always a nice gesture to send them a quick thank you note. Just a couple of lines in an email will do. It’s also nice to send out thank you notes to those who have given you birthday gifts and other special presents.

Smarten Up Your Blog

If you have access to a computer in your spare five minutes, you can always use it to smarten up your blog. Why not take a look for some royalty free images or publish a post that has been sitting in your drafts for a while. It’s important to continually update and refresh your blog so that it keeps your readers interested.

Delete Unused Apps

It is ever so easy to build up a collection of apps on your smartphone. But how many of them do you actually use? By going through and deleting the ones that you don’t open, you will be saving a lot of memory on your phone.

Review Your Resume

Are you hoping to move forward in your career in the near future? You will find that an updated resume will greatly help your chances of landing your dream job. The next time you have a few minutes spare, it will be worth seeing if you can add a few more bullet points to it. That way, you will look even more experienced and attractive to potential employers.

Meditation and mindfulness are now very popular, as they have been proven to help reduce stress and anxiety. And just five minutes a day is enough to help you overcome your worries. There are now many apps that guide you through meditation sessions, so you will certainly benefit from downloading one.

Clean Out Your Inbox

Got a lot of spam in your inbox? Take this time to send it to your junk so that your email provider learns what you don’t want to see. It’s also worth unsubscribing from any newsletters that might try and tempt you to waste money on impromptu purchases.
