So many cool waterfalls! But, what is there to do in and around the Niagara Falls? This article will showcase five different things or places to do or visit while near or in Niagara Falls, and there are three United States ideas then two Canadian ideas.
Cave of the Winds
Located in New York is the Cave of the Winds. This was actually a huge cavern behind the falls and is now an attraction that offers a closer look at the falls. Fun fact: it’s original name was Aeolus’ Cave because of the Greek god of the wind. It features wooden walkways to get up close and personal when observing the Bridal veil Falls.
Rainbow Bridge
Rainbow Bridge is a great photography spot. The bridge is pedestrian friendly, and you can often spot rainbows here. If you’re interested in capturing beautiful views of the falls, this is the place to be.
Aquarium of Niagara
Also in New York, this aquarium is kid friendly and a great place to explore new species. It houses over 2000 species, and there are even interactive exhibits. This one is a great place for families with curious children, or really anyone wanting to experience aquatic wildlife.
Bird Kingdom
Bird Kingdom, now the largest free flying indoor aviary in the world, is located in Ontario Canada. This building is 45,000 square feet. With over 300 birds, it’s a great place to see and explore. Definitely a must-see if you’re an avid bird lover, or just like to be up close and personal with new species.
Skylon Tower
This observation tower is located in Ontario Canada as well. It has an arcade and restaurant, and provides beautiful views of the falls. It’s a nice place to relax and enjoy the view, if you don’t mind heights of course. If you’re in Canada near the falls, this is a nice relaxing break and food spot.
In conclusion, there’s actually a lot of attractions near and in Niagara Falls Canada or New York. However, these were five simple attractions both in or around the falls. Whether exploring new species of animals, getting up close and personal with the falls, or just admiring from afar, each place has its own charm. You may even consider a Niagara Falls RV Rental so that you cut down on costs of accommodations and can travel around this area more during your visit.
