About

I have this light within me that sometimes dulls, sometimes feels stomped out, and other times is so fiery that I cannot help but stand up and exclaim my hope and love for this world.

Welcome to Brandy Ellen Writes, a site created for the original purpose of providing business services to business owners, brands, and bloggers. Today, Brandy Ellen Writes has evolved from a full-service virtual assistant and ghostwriting business site to a Positive Lifestyle blog, geared towards helping others live life to the fullest.

After selling her original “home” for blogging {Happily Blended} in 2015/2016, Brandy wanted to find a place where she could still offer a wide range of topics. Brandy Ellen Writes is all about positive thinking, setting goals, listening to your gut, traveling the New England area on a budget, and everything in between.

Brandy has 3 kids ranging in age from 17 to 23 years. She has experience with ADHD, autism, and many other parenting topics that came up over the last 23+ years. Her children helped broaden her view of the world and people in general. One could say that her children taught her what something like unconditional love is. 💜

With that said, Brandy knows that we all make mistakes as we are imperfectly human. She will continue to live by her belief that we all do our best possible in each given moment.

How we show up for each other, and for ourselves, matters more than any label we choose to identify with.

We should pause our labeling for a moment to check in and ask if we are showing up as our best. To confirm that we are showing love and kindness to others, and if we cannot find the courage to pause our egoic mind and show up in kindness to another, then we pause our lips from allowing unkind words to come out.

We pause to bring ourselves to a space of presence. It is in the present moment of pausing that we find the grace we need for other humans, the love we need to express kindness, and the compassion we need to connect more freely with each other from a space of realization that what we do to each other matters.

Whether in wishful thoughts or spoken language, words have the power to cast a spell of goodness or evil upon ourselves and others.

Choosing our words, knowing our hearts, and letting go of thinking we must box ourself into a label, and only speak to those who identify with this label, or worse, demand that others treat us a certain way because of our label is not allowing us to connect with our brothers and sisters of this world from a space of hope, compassion, and generosity.

A Bit About Me: Brandy Ellen

One thing to know about me is that I am not afraid to make mistakes. I will make a choice based on intuitive guidance, and I pray to find direction from God. That said, I have not always leaned into God to look for guidance; I often just trusted my inner compass, which is often led by who I feel are my spirit guides or maybe even a guardian angel. Over the 40-plus years in my life, I have tried to remain open-minded and adaptable to change my mind and change my habits when it feels intuitively right to do so.

As you dive into the thoughts and experiences shared online, you will begin to learn more about how my mind works, what my experiences of life have been, and how you can also wake up one day to attempt to be a NEW PERSON in this lifetime, regardless of the choices in the past.
