Funspot NH is an arcade museum, indoor bowling alley, and indoor mini golf place centered near Weirs Beach NH. They have cash bingo, an indoor restaurant that mostly serves pizza (we got chicken and onion rings), plus a party room you can rent for birthday parties, and so much more!

The arcade museum here is worth a visit for anyone who loves old-school games like Pac-Man, King Kong, and others. Justin was searching for a specific game called Spy Hunter but we couldn\’t find it. Even still, we had a blast and you can continue reading to see photos, and hear more about our family fun day!

We\’ve been trying to do weekly family fun days here in New Hampshire, but the weather was a bit difficult. The weekend adventures were pushed back by a huge snow storm, that dropped 17 inches and then took our power out aka the electricity or most of a day or two.

Once we got settled and the snow started to melt, my family was itching to get out and enjoy some awesome nature fun. With the rain coming in and colder weather, plus most amazing places not opening until May, we have had to get creative with what to do in New England in April.

\"a

This was an adventure for sure! I drove about 2 hours to get here, just so we could have some fun at the arcade museum, and the other levels of this three-level place. They also have an ice cream shop that looks to be open closer to the summer season in New Hampshire.

My family ventured here for indoor fun on a rainy New Hampshire day. We visited the website for Funspot NH to see how much it would cost, and what other details we could find before driving about two hours to our destination for a family fun day.

Important Details about Funspot NH

The biggest thing we couldn\’t find when researching this place for our day trip was how many tokens per game. I wanted to know because $20 for 110 tokens sounds great, but if the arcades or games are 10 tickets a piece, well $20 won\’t last long.

I only know to look for this type of information from our experiences with taking three kids to local fairgrounds. Buying a sheet of tickets doesn\’t last long at those fairs, and they charge an entrance fee!

The cool thing about Funspot NH is that you don\’t have an entrance fee. You park in their big parking lot, we had to go further out back by the Bingo hall to park as it was busy on this fine Saturday afternoon. And the tickets are reasonable, $20 per 110 tokens and with each game using 1 token per game play (in most cases) you can have a decent day of fun here.

We arrived later afternoon, maybe 3 pm and the place was pretty packed, but never felt like we were shoulder to shoulder with humans. One floor has a cute bumper car space for the title ones and some cute arcade games that younger children will love, including rides like his adorable Flintstone Fintmobile.

\"\"

My youngest son dared me to get into that car but I didn\’t want to get in trouble. He had fun teasing me because I am always saying, \’Act like a child\’ or \’Never grow old\’ and here I was refusing to squeeze myself inside of this kid ride-along. I didn\’t want to get in trouble or stuck in all honesty.

I say never grow old and to act like a child within reason, my friends and family!

Moving along, we then ventured towards the restaurant at the bottom floor as quickly as possible! Why? Because I was starving! If we do a family day that has some form of food to enjoy nearby, then I don\’t eat much for breakfast so I can enjoy a little food out in the world without going too far over my calories for the day.

We went to the Braggin\’ Dragon in Funspot NH located on the bottom floor of their facility. You can enjoy the D.A. Long Tavern instead, but we don\’t drink alcohol all that much so that wasn\’t a space for us.

\"\"

The food was delivered really fast. We had some of the chicken tenders regular style and for me, the buffalo style is always my go-to anywhere. Then we had two orders of onion rings. As you can see though, one order of onion rings would have sufficed.

We tend to eat recommended portion sizes, and one of the onion ring containers was probably 2.5 services, if I had to guess. We enjoyed the time though, and for drinks? I had fruit punch HI-C and forgot that my body doesn\’t like it. Next time, I may just get water instead.

They have fountain drinks for options of what to enjoy with your meal, and beyond the chicken fingers or onion rings I think they have french fries, lots of pizza, and some nachos. Those were all of the food options that stuck out to me.

\"\"

We opted to sit in the area featured above. This is the back room with lots of windows for sunshine time. I loved this area, as I could soak up some sunshine before we ventured off to enjoy the tokens and gameplay time.

Our total meal for the Braggin Dragon was around $40. This was two orders of chicken tenders, 2 orders of onion rings, and two fountain drinks in April 2024.

Get Your Funspot NH Tokens

You can use cash or card for your Funspot tokens as seen in the photo above. We used our card, to get $20 worth of tokens per person.

I did notice parents at the token area putting cash or cards in for a cup of tokens for their kids and telling them that they would be in the tavern area while the kids went off to play alone. So I guess this is one of the great ways to enjoy adult time in the same location as your kids, but without having the kids right with you.

You can give them the tokens and set some rules, show them where they are to connect with you – be it near the Tavern door, or somewhere else and then they get to go meet new kids to play with and you get to drink alcohol or whatever else is behind the doors of the D.A. Tavern in Funspot NH.

I just have to tell you, they have SKEE-BALL downstairs and it is my favorite way to earn tickets for prizes, friends! I just love this game, and I always seek it out whenever I am at an arcade. The arcades at Smitty\’s Cinema in Tilton, NH have a small set of these, and Hampton Beach, NH arcades have a full range of these in their downstairs area from what I recall.

If my kids were to lose me at an arcade, they just need to find Skee-Ball and there I would be. Ha! It is truly the best part of an arcade space for me. Anyway, I did win some tickets between the Skee-Ball and Wonder Wheel games…

Arcade Museum in Funspot NH

I then tried my hand at Pac-Man and King Kong in the Funspot NH arcade museum. I can say proudly that I still have the magic with Pac-Man. I do not have the magic of King Kong. Maybe I\’ll share the video coverage of that later, for now, enjoy this YouTube short of me winning five tickets at another favorite game …

After we had our fun with the arcade museum, and we were all happy with our tickets, the youngest teen wanted to try his hand at using a full $20 cup of tokens in the Wonder Wheel game to see how many tickets he could get. I don\’t remember how many he got during that task, but here\’s how many tickets we had at the final stage …

Exchanging Tickets for Prizes at Funspot NH

After you use the ticket machine to get the receipts as shown above, it\’s time to venture to the bottom floor of Funspot NH where you can see the huge prize counter area.

\"\"

This trip was after our time at Smitty\’s Cinema in Tilton, NH arcades, bar, movie, and axe throwing (sharing more on that family fun day soon), so we were pleasantly surprised to see some awesome prize options here.

\"\"

We got a keepsake shot glass, grabber things, candy, Pez, and I don\’t recall what else with our tokens. Oh! It was 500 tickets worth of a plastic cup filled with cheap hard candy that was branded Funspot.

\"\"

As you can hopefully see, we had a blast here. Funspot NH is open all year round.

We do this thing where we rank from 1 to 10 the family fun day, which of course is just Justin, me, and our youngest son more often than not. The other two kiddos are mostly grown up so we don\’t always get to have them come along, but I do hope to get that FULL family day concept in at some point in the future.

10 is the BEST while 1 is the WORST.

Family Rank: 8

Pet Friendly and Handicap Accessible?

Since this is not a pet-friendly facility, please do not bring your pets. I believe if you have a legit service dog that helps with a disability, then they have to allow those pets, but otherwise, please leave Fido at home.

FunSpot NH does have some handicapped access points, but I am not sure if it\’s for every level, you\’ll have to call before a visit to ensure your wheelchair can get into every floor.

I did see people there in wheelchairs, so I assume there are access points for those requiring such access.

What is your favorite arcade game? Tell us in the comments section below.

I do check comments regularly and reply to as many as possible.
