I miss you.
I miss the soft brush of fingertips against my skin, the way a hug can dissolve the weight of the world, if only for a moment. I miss kisses that linger just a little too long, the kind that make time irrelevant. I miss the pull of a passionate embrace, the way bodies fit together like they were always meant to.
I miss the thrill of a long drive with no destination, just the hum of the tires against the pavement and the easy silence that only comes with deep connection. The kind where words aren’t necessary, yet the air is full of unspoken understanding. The kind where laughter fills the space between songs, and the sunset stretches across the sky like a painting meant just for us.
I miss laughter. The real kind. The kind that bubbles up from somewhere deep, that catches you off guard and makes you forget, even for a second, the heaviness of life. I miss the inside jokes, the teasing, the way a shared moment of pure joy can stitch together even the most frayed edges of a heart.
I miss feeling seen. The kind of eye contact that doesn’t just meet but understands. I miss hands reaching for mine, without hesitation, without thought—just instinct, just belonging.
I miss love in its simplest, purest form.
Maybe you do too.
Maybe there’s something in your life you’ve forgotten was once a part of you. Something you stopped noticing, something that faded into the background of routine and responsibility.
Maybe the laughter is still there, waiting to be heard. Maybe the touch is still there, waiting to be felt. Maybe the love, the adventure, the passion—it never left at all. Maybe it just needs to be seen again.
What do you miss? And could it be that it’s been here all along?
