Are you looking for a campground in New Hampshire?
Do you want to find a family-friendly spot to pull up that RV, camper or setup a tent?
If you said yes, then you’ll love this New England travel destination for camping.
When our family first ventured out the door on a New England adventure, we stayed at Crows Nest Campground. This New England campground is located in Newport, NH and provides you a family-friendly spot to camp. With many amenities, a kids game room and much more, you’ll enjoy camping at Crows Nest Campground with your loved ones.
All About Crows Nest Campground in Newport, NH
You can reserve a spot online with Crows Nest Campground. This is one of the reasons we love this New England travel destination. We enjoyed being able to see which camping spots were open and for how long using the online reservation system with Crows Nest Campground in NH.
Crows Nest Campground offers a few different options for sites, such as tent-only, full hook up, and river sites with electricity & water that allow smaller campers and tents. There’s a commode down by the river, in case you have to go potty but don’t want to or can’t walk up to the restrooms. The river has sites right on the river and then across the way so that you’re close but not directly next to the river. We stayed down by the river for our first family camping adventure and loved it!
What amenities does Crows Nest Campground offer?
I’m so glad you asked! Crows Nest Campground has a lot of amenities that make tent camping or camper/RV camping a blast. From the quarter showers in a private stall to the public bathrooms and dishwashing station and the WiFi that costs $1 per day via a voucher system, Crows Nest Campground has a lot to offer the family camper.
There’s a rec room that has a place for you to sit on picnic tables while you wash laundry in the laundry “room” located inside of the restrooms at the rec hall. There’s air hockey and other fun things to enjoy with your kids in the rec room too. They tend to have some sort of family fun activity going on during the weekends too. If you want to know what the weekend events are, Crows Nest Campground is great about having a list of weekend happenings on their bulletin boards located throughout the New Hampshire campground.
Now, there is even more that Crows Nest Campground offers the family who opts to camp here; an outdoor pool, mini-golf, a large chess game, and a small store located on the campground. You can even buy campfire by the smaller bundle or get a larger bundle delivered with their forklift/small tractor to your campsite. Crows Nest Campground does charge for guests, which I believe is a fee of $5 per guests. You can find more info on their website.
What Our Family Enjoyed During our Crows Nest Camping Trip
Wading in the river for a swim while watching nature, such as a Mama duck and her ducklings swim by.
Many games of chess over campfire light and lamplight on the picnic table at our campsite.
A hike down to the “Big Rock” and up the hill to our campsite.
Being silly together …

Below: Kman being my “hairdresser” for the day.
Trying to catch a crayfish, tadpoles, and baby fish.
Swinging and having adventures on the playground/swingset area.
And lots of downtime with snacks at our campsite.

What a great trip! Seems like such a lovely camp ground for a family vaca! I like that it has some amenities to make the trip easier.
I haven’t camped in a tent since I was in my 20s. I’d love to camp in a cabin or motorhome next! Looks like this was great family time 🙂
Looks like a great campground! I will for sure tell my friends who live nearby about it!
I miss this activity! It has been years since we went camping as a family. You chose a great campground to enjoy some quality time with the kids!
It looks like a nice campground. It is always nice to spend time with the family, and camping helps create more togetherness in a good way. We went tent camping last week. Two of our favorite games are Liar’s Dice and Loot.
