SC Monster Truck Madness in Swanzey NH

Here\’s a super fun fact about me; I LOVE MONSTER TRUCKS! I legit wanted to build my very own monster truck from the ground up when I was between 18 to 20 years old. I had it in my mind that I would, with the help of those around me, build a black and purple monster truck.

Now, I didn\’t really think much past the building point. I just thought it would be cool to build one and say I did that! While that is a fun story, it hasn\’t happened as of yet, but I do enjoy a good monster truck event whenever possible.

That\’s just what happened this past weekend with the fam! I was pinged on Messenger with an event. An SC Monster Truck Madness event and it was less than an hour away?! OMG, I was ready. Let\’s do this!

Key Takeaways

  • SC monster truck madness is in Swanzey, NH every year & other locations.
  • Very family friendly atmosphere here.
  • Stand for the national anthem before start of the show.
  • Ticket prices were $40 per person ages 13+.
  • It\’s loud, bring ear plugs or buy some there.

I looked online for the price and times to make sure it was aligned with the time slot we have for family fun time and it was! Then I went over to the website to buy the tickets …

$40 per person 🤯

I was honestly thinking maybe $20 or $30 tops for an event like this, but then again I typically got the tickets free for Monster Jam shows, so I had nothing to compare it to for reference. So, just a heads up if you try to go to an event like this, you may want to plan ahead to save a little, just in case.

Thankfully we allot a bit of a budget for family fun day ever since we made it a priority. So we were fine, but couldn\’t spend much extra. I mean, I did splurge on a $2 hotdog … but otherwise, we didn\’t spend anything other than that $40 entry fee per person (that\’s the price per adult, ages 13+).

There were two old school monster trucks there, which I thought was pretty awesome. It\’s not every day that you get to see a piece of history. These two trucks, I couldn\’t tell ya a thing about them, I am not a mechanic.

I do know that they said they have leaf springs, and they are old school. They don\’t have the fun extra expensive shocks and things the newer trucks below have. You\’ll see the newer monster trucks are shiny with all their fiberglass stuff.

\"\"

The older trucks are steel, real, and amazing in their glory as the OG monster truckers.

\"\"

As you can see above they are not as colorful and shiny as the newer monster trucks you see these days. What I recently learned is that SC Monster Truck Madness is actually a \”thing\”, like a thing that comes to various areas in the United States.

In the orange box below, you can click to see when they will be in your area if you\’re interested in getting a little monster truck madness into your life soon.

This is such a family-friendly event. The noise is a bit loud, so be sure to put on those headphones. If you don\’t bring ear plugs or headphones, you can easily buy some there. I didn\’t catch the price, but at the ticket booth, they have price lists for things.

There were some extra things here to do like after the show is over, you could pay for tickets to ride a monster truck on the track. It is a vehicle that looks similar to a military truck. Speaking of which, the US Army had a tent there trying to recruit members, which was pretty awesome. 💕

You can choose from some food or snack options like cotton candy, popcorn, cheeseburgers, or hotdogs. The people here are super friendly and yes, the event does start with the National Anthem, as does most sporting events in the United States of America. So be prepared to stand for our National Anthem before the show.

We also saw a few regular vehicles do the monster truck course, that was amazing! Then we saw an adorable 5 year old doing the track, check that clip out here. There were also motocross bikes doing some flips to keep us entertained in between the monster truck freestyle and races.

This time for the SC Monster Truck Madness event in Swanzey, NH they had an 8-year-old girl singing it. She did an amazing job, it brought tears to my eyes!

You can catch some more of the clips I got at the show, by visiting EastCoastBrandy on TikTok.
