I’m so excited to share some fabulous news with everyone today. I’ve been looking into podcasting. This will be a great way for me to branch out. Also, I do much better reading from a script than I do with my YouTube talking points on video.
Have you see that mess over on my YouTube Channel? I ramble A LOT, and the video quality is horrible. I will let you know that I invested in a new smartphone this week so you will be getting better quality photos and videos from me soon!
Now, back to the subject of entrepreneurship and podcasting …
While the podcast still needs a name and a theme, I wanted to share some of what I’ve learned thus far along with some pretty neat info from Dan Lok who is the King of Closing.
About Dan Lok
Dan Lok is a Chinese-Canadian business global educator who is best known for being the founder and chairman of Closers.com. Beyond that, Dan Lok has been able to help people in over 130 countries develop high-income skills and start living that free life we all desire as entrepreneurs.
Why does this make me excited and have me sharing Dan Lok with you guys today? Well, that’s simple …
My Poverty Mindset
I’ve been spending a lot of time learning more about ways to gain financial freedom. The number one thing I’ve learned is that you must change how you think about money. I grew up with a poverty mindset, but have slowly transformed my mind towards a rich mindset.
This has only been achieved through some training, education, and constantly redirecting my thoughts. Anyone, professional or educator, I find online that can help others with this mindset transformation is someone I want to share with the world!
Entrepreneurship Podcasts
This leads me to my next point; The Dan Lok Show on iTunes is a fabulous resource for gaining insight into this rich mindset. Dan Lok interviews some of the best CEO’s out there to share what made each of them so wealthy.
The key to unlocking the rich mindset that we all can learn is to listen to the best of the best. Most wealthy people have two things in common:
- They weren’t afraid of trying something new, even if they failed.
- They were able to focus so they could be self-disciplined to achieve their goals.
Focus and the ability to let go of the fear that holds you back is something I’ve learned to be the top two skills of the wealthiest entrepreneurs out there. Of course, transforming your poverty into a rich mindset is not easy.
How Do Business Podcasts Help?
While I began this article by saying that I’m excited to start my podcast this year, I will say that listening to other business podcasts is what has helped me learn more, change my mindset, and start working FOUR DAY WORK WEEKS!!!
At this moment, I have increased my monthly gross earnings by $400 with just a few changes that have taken me only a few months to implement. From focusing on time management and self-discipline, as well as, letting go of projects that were bringing my hourly “rate” down, I was able to take my 5+ work week down to 4 days. Additionally, I’ve only had client work THREE days in the last few weeks.
I’m here to tell you that listening to a business podcast and truly hearing what they have to say, such as the interviews that Dan Lok does, will TRANSFORM your entrepreneurial life. Don’t take it from me, go on over and check out his podcasts, oh and listen in on my favorite playlists over at YouTube for mental health and entrepreneur tips.
