Atlantic Breeze Suites in Hampton, NH

About a year ago I wanted to get away for a weekend with my daughter. This kid is an adult now, so with them having their own life and me having mine with their little brothers, it\’s often difficult to connect. We both love the ocean, and so I thought Hampton Beach, NH would be a fun place to get away together.

I opted to go with Atlantic Breeze Suites in Hampton, NH. The price was within my budget, and the location was right on the ocean. This meant we could do evening walks, and we were about .7 or .9 miles from the nearest open food location. This meant we could dine out for dinner, whilst enjoying other meals in the hotel room as I did bring tea, and food for us to enjoy for the other snack and meal times.

Key Takeaways

  • Hampton Beach, NH is a fabulous place to enjoy the off-season in March or April
  • You won\’t have access to most of the summer fun like the Hampton Beach Arcades, but you enjoy the ocean and some restaurants and bars without huge crowds
  • This a lovely way to get away with kids or dogs during the off-season whilst getting that salt water therapy from the Atlantic Ocean for improved mental health
  • You can hunt for crabs after dark on the beach near the ocean

When we finally found where Atlantic Breeze Suites in Hampton, NH was located, it was a parking garage that I had to pull into and park backward. This is not something I\’m particularly talented with, especially in my huge suburban, but I did it. As shown below that\’s where you park when you book a room at this location.

This hotel is NOT pet-friendly, so please choose a different location if you want to bring Fido. This hotel is Wheelchair accessible/Oxygen Therapy friendly. The parking in the parking garage is free. During peak season, you may need to pay the meters to park across the street in the parking lot. Based on my resarch it seems that handicap parking is free all day/night with placard or license plate, so that\’s something to keep in mind & research a bit further before arrival.

It was easier to do off-season since the garage was mostly empty. Once you park, you go back under this parking garage space and use your unique code to access the hotel. Then you have an envelope with your name on it, which again is mostly done during the off-season or when there isn\’t someone on duty.

\"\"

You take the envelope, and your access key, and go to your room to get all set up for your weekend or week getaway. This place has both stairs and elevators, which were fun after dark when my daughter and I got a case of the sillies.

\"\"

We had a blast in the hotel room, and when we got bored, we could go downstairs to grab some board games to play. We enjoyed playing Yahtzee together.

\"\"

Just remember to return the board game before you leave. The room was great, we had a shower, bath, toilet, two beds, and a balcony view of the parking lot and ocean. The balcony does have a couple of seats and a small table to sit in privacy enjoying the view.

There is a television for TV enjoyment, and yes, there is Wifi for guests to use. I had scheduled it so that I could take this time to spend with my daughter sans work, which means the Wifi was more used to reduce data consumption for entertainment or whatnot.

This weekend was fabulous and I would love to do it all over again. I may even visit this suite area for a solo trip because I am about due for one and prefer off-season, and off-season is not for much longer here in New Hampshire.

\"\"

But this time, my butt will bring dinner ideas because if I go alone, I won\’t be walking in the dark to get food. This reminds me, here are some of the adventures that we had for food.

\"\"

This was my first time trying fried Oreos, OMGosh they are super sweet but delicious. They\’re very messy so please grab a napkin. I found later that a lot of places offer these types of treats, as I went somewhere else later on and found that places in Maine feature these delicious treats, but I wasn\’t able to get the rest of the fam to try them.

We ordered some food for dinner and sat there to eat it. I had a cheeseburger, I think. Here are the mealtime photos:

And what is a trip to the Atlantic Ocean in New Hampshire without venturing out on the beach?! I sort of got lost a few times for the ocean whisks me away to a calmer place of mind.

\"\"

My daughter and I enjoyed daytime ventures out on the beach and saw some horses you can rent this option with someone who does beach horseback riding in Hampton Beach, NH. I won\’t be doing that as I\’m scared of horses … for some reason.

\"\"

We had a fun time, and as you can see the beach was pretty empty …

\"\"

Then I had my daughter snap some fun photos of me being silly out there on the ocean, which I still use to this day on various social media outlets because they are my favorite ones.

\"\"

This was our adventure in Hampton Beach, NH during the daytime, but after dark? We took our shoes off and explored for crabs, while I had some anxiety about it being dark and me not seeing my surroundings.

\"\"

Okay so looking at the photo, it seems only my daughter had their shoes off … I wasn\’t brave enough???? I guess.

\"\"

I highly suggest you bring a flashlight of some sort when you plan on going out on the beach after dark and like to see your surroundings.

\"\"

Even if you don\’t venture down to the beach area, the walk at night is just gorgeous. Look at that sky and while yes, cars are going through nearly all hours of the night? There are not many walkers out during the off-season at Hampton Beach in New Hampshire.

\"\"

Rain or shine, it was a lovely time. Yes, you heard me right RAIN. We walked to the store only to get caught in this rain storm that also had some hard-hitting hail-like stuff or something. All I remember is that whatever was being thrown from the skies hurt our faces, and once we reached the parking garage we were like hands up staying \”Hallejulah\” while laughing.

Memories were made.

Good times were had.

I\’d do it again, more than once.
